Guest speakers: Ms Sian Gilbert & Dr Rosa Canalese 

Sian Gilbert is Partner at HWL Ebsworth in Safety, Workplace Relations. Sian specialises in employment law, discrimination matters and work health and safety.

Sian assists clients in a variety of industries including large corporations, government sector employers, small businesses, not for profit organisations and executive employees.

Sian has extensive experience in both litigation, including advocacy, and advisory work. Sian also conducts workplace training and investigations in a variety of employee disputes and grievances.

Dr Rosa Canalese is Senior Medical Advisor at Avant. In this role she has assisted and supported many doctors who have been subject to complaints and faced disciplinary proceedings, coronial inquests and other types of investigative & regulatory processes.

She brings to the role over 25 years of clinical experience in General Practice, as well as an extensive track record in education and training that has spanned the professional lifecycle from medical students to pre-vocational & vocational training, as well as practitioner professional development and CPD.

She has delivered countless hours of education and training, in addition to developing and implementing medical student and GP registrar curriculums over the many years of her education experience. She has been actively engaged in medical education development and research, particularly in the areas of assessment and the development and implementation of assessment tools

6.15pm Scientific Meeting: UUSC Ground Level Dangar Room. Complimentary to members and guests – bookings essential. If you are only attending the meeting, please still RSVP for seating requirements and so we may prepare the Attendance Register and provide adequate seating.

7.30pm Dinner: UUSC Level 1 Members Dining Room. Includes 3-course set menu & beverages $97.50 for members; $115.00 for guests & non-members. Please advise any special dietary requirements.
