About Cunneen

Margaret Cunneen, SC is the Deputy Senior Crown Prosecutor in New South Wales. She grew up in south-west Sydney and was educated at Santa Sabina College, Strathfield. She received her law degrees from the New South Wales Institute of Technology and her Masters from Sydney University. She joined the Attorney General’s Ministerial Office in 1977. She became a barrister in 1982, has been a Crown Prosecutor since 1990 and was appointed a Senior Counsel in 2007. She came to prominence when she prosecuted a series of highly publicised paedophile and gang rape trials, including Bilal Skaf, Robert ‘Dolly’ Dunn, Michael Guider, pedophiles Colin Fisk and Phillip Bell, rapist Quoc Vinh To.
