About Mr Bill Madden
Bill Madden is a partner of Slater & Gordon. He practises in professional negligence and is currently Chair of the Australian Plaintiff Lawyers Association’s Professional Negligence Special Interest Group. He is a member of the New South Wales Law Society Medico-Legal Liaison Committee and an Editorial Board Member for the Health Law Bulletin and the Civil Liability Bulletin.

About Mr Allan Hunter
Allan Hunter is the General Manager of the Professional Services Division of United Medical Protection. Hewas admitted as a solicitor in South Australia in 1971. In the 1980s, he specialised in health law-related areas and acted for the Medical Defence Association of South Australia, the Medical Protection Society of the UK, the Dental Protection Society of the UK, the South Australian Branch of the AMA and the Pharmacy Board of South Australia. Having joined United as the senior adviser to the CEO, he is currently responsible for the management of claims and professional development in risk management.
Associate Professor Michael Fearnside
About Associate Professor Michael Fearnside
Michael is a VMO at Westmead Hospital and the Area Director of Surgery, Western Sydney Area Health Service. He was involved, on behalf of neurological surgeons, in negotiations with the Federal Government in respect of medical indemnity. He is a former President of this august society and Past-President of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia.
