About Sullivan
Anne Sullivan is a partner at Blake Dawson. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws at the University of New South Wales in the 1980s. She obtained a Master of Laws from the University of London in 1991. She practices in general commercial and insurance litigation, especially professional indemnity work. She has a wide practice in health law and disciplinary work and has acted for Avant Medical Group, Australia’s largest medical defence organisation, for over 20 years.
Anne is a member of the Litigation Law and Practice Committee of the Law Society and a Councillor of the Law Society. She is also a member of the Supreme Court of New South Wales Common Law Division Civil Users Committee.
Watson
About Watson
Professor John Watson is an Associate Professor in the Discipline of Medicine at the University of Sydney. He is a neurologist at Hornsby, the Mater and the Sydney Adventist Hospitals and Director of the Stroke Unit at Hornsby Hospital. He has recently retired from three years as Chair of the Ethics Committee at the University of Sydney.
Professor Watson commenced his medical studies in 1973. He was a New South Wales Rhodes Scholar in 1977. In 1990, he travelled to London, where he was a Lecturer and Senior Registrar in Neurology at the Hammersmith Hospital. He has published 55 peer reviewed original articles, supervised several masters and doctoral candidates, presented clinical and research material many times on radio and is a visiting scientist at the Howard Florey Institute in Melbourne.
