 uest speakers: Mr Hugh Dillon and Dr Robert Day\n\nMr Hugh Dillon is an Ad
 junct Professor at the UNSW Law School. He retired as a Deputy State Coron
 er and magistrate at the end of 2016. He was appointed a magistrate in 199
 6 and Deputy State Coroner in 2008 and conducted a number of high profile 
 inquests and fire inquiries. Before his appointment as a magistrate\, he p
 ractised law with the New South Wales Council of Social Service\, the New 
 South Wales Ombudsman’s Office and the Commonwealth DPP. He was a member
  of the National Judicial College of Australia’s Programmes Advisory Com
 mittee 2007-2017. He was a 2014 Churchill Fellow – his project being to 
 develop ideas for raising coronial performance standards. He is co-author 
 of Waller’s Coronial Law and Practice in New South Wales (4th ed\, 2010)
 \, The Australasian Coroner’s Manual (2015) and editor of Advocacy and J
 udging: Selected Papers of Murray Gleeson (2017).[/vc_column_text][/vc_col

 tant\;}"][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dr Robert Day has been Director of Eme
 rgency Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney since 2006. Royal 
 North Shore Hospital Emergency Department is the tertiary level hospital s
 ervicing the northern Sydney region and saw 90\,000 patients in 2018. It i
 s a major trauma centre and contains state-wide burns and spinal injury un
 its. Dr Day has been an Emergency Specialist and Fellow of the Australasia
 n College for Emergency Medicine since 1993. He is also a Clinical Senior 
 Lecturer with the University of Sydney. He has extensive experience in dis
 aster medicine and was Medical Commander of the City to Surf Race from 200
 0-2013. Dr Day has been providing medicolegal expert reports for the TMF\,
  MDOs and the Coroner for over 20 years.\n\n6.15pm Scientific Meeting: UUS
